Who is Joseph Kony?
Joseph Kony.
Number One on the list of the International Criminal Court’s most wanted list.
He is a guerilla leader of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in Uganda. He has been abducting children and using them as recruits for his forces. Girls are made into sex slaves and raped, while boys are given guns, becoming child soldiers.
The LRA are encouraged to rape, mutilate, and kill civilians - often with blunt weapons. - ‘INVISIBLE CHILDREN’
When abducted, the children are also forced to kill their own parents.
This INJUSTICE and REMOVAL OF HUMAN RIGHTS must be stopped.
No child should live under those kinds of circumstances. Where they can barely sleep at night from fear of being abducted or killed.
INVISIBLE CHILDREN
The INVISIBLE CHILDREN is a non-profit organisation that have been working for 9 years straight to put an end to this long-lived conflict in Africa. They’ve been doing talks and campaigns US state-wide to spread the awareness of Kony’s treacherous crimes, all in order to have Joseph Kony arrested.
But it hasn’t been enough. Recently, American President Barack Obama has given the consent for US Military Advisors to help the Ugandan Army with the pursuit of Joseph Kony and the LRA. This is the first case in the United States, where forces have been sent, not because of military importance, but because the people demanded for something to be done.
However, these officers can be sent back home at anytime if the government deems the people’s support insufficient.
SO HERE’S THE PLAN:
Invisible Children want to make Joseph Kony FAMOUS. Not in the celebrity sense, but to make his name and his movements known to the whole world. They want to make him know that the WORLD IS WATCHING HIS EVERY MOVE andHE IS GOING TO GET ARRESTED.
So on April 20 2012, the city of San Diego is going get blanketed. From dusk til dawn, Invisible Children and their supporters will be going ALL OUT, covering the town with campaign posters, stickers and billboards. So when the world wakes up the next morning. They will be asking themselves this question:
WHO IS JOSEPH KONY?
